What is Bad Art Day?
Bad Art Day is a fun, low-pressure event where children make intentionally terrible art to overcome perfectionism, embrace silliness, and enjoy the creative process without judgment. It's about the joy of creating and releasing creative blocks, proving that mistakes are okay and everyone can be an "artist".
We'll give prompts to our artists such as who can create the worst of the worst! At the end of each session, we'll award prizes to the best bad art.
Advanced registration is required, and you may do so by contacting the library at danvers.tl.rsa@gmail.com or 309-963-4269. There is no charge for this event.

Registration opening January 19th.

Anyone can participate in our reading program as long as the books are checked out from Danvers Township Library. Each participant will receive a raffle ticket for each book read that week (up to 5), and they’ll then decide where they want to place their tickets. We’ll have jars that represent each prize donated, and participants will put their tickets in the jars for the prize that they hope to win. At the end of each week, we’ll draw for that prize!
