The mission of the Danvers Township Library is enriching lives, building community, and fostering success by bringing people, information, and ideas together.
Danvers Township Library is a public library located in Danvers Township, McLean County, Illinois. The library serves 1,853 residents. Danvers was founded in 1836 and is home to Olympia North Elementary which serves Danvers and Stanford.
The Danvers Township Library has a collection of more than 16,000 books, 35,000 eBooks, 4,200 DVDs & Blu-rays, 120 audiobooks, over 30 specialty cake pans, 51 STEM toys, periodicals, and a variety of reference materials. Internet usage, faxing, printing, copying, and laminating are available to the public.
The staff includes a director, five assistant librarians, and several volunteers. The annual operating budget is $109,500, and we receive nearly 20,000 visits per year. The library works closely with
Olympia North Elementary School.
Danvers Library is a member of RAILS
(Reaching Across Illinois Library Systems).
